Bad weather again shuffles football schedule
The threat of bad weather is causing changes in the high school football schedule for the second straight weekend.
A cold front is forecast to cross the Charlotte region Friday, and the National Weather Service is predicting a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
A number of games have been moved from Friday to Thursday night, including several involving Mecklenburg County teams.
Those include the East Lincoln-at-Providence game, which is one of the weekend’s top contests.
Thunderstorm chances for Thursday night are only 40 percent.
A 30 percent chance of storms is in the forecast for Saturday, when the Keep Pounding Classic is scheduled for Bank of America Stadium.
