College hoops fan? We've got ya covered

The Queen City Sports Report is dedicated to covering Charlotte-area high school and college sports, and that means we'll be on top of area college basketball too.

During football season, we've provided previews, game stories and other news from the Charlotte 49ers, Davidson Wildcats, App State Mountaineers, Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs, Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls, Wingate Bulldogs, Catawba Indians and Lenoir-Rhyne Bears.

During basketball season, we're planning coverage of Charlotte, Davidson, Queens, Johnson C. Smith, Winthrop, Belmont Abbey, Gardner-Webb, Lenoir-Rhyne, Catawba and Wingate.

To get you ready for basketball season, which begins Monday, we'll have a series of previews this weekend on the area's Division 1 teams == Winthrop, Gardner-Webb, Queens, Davidson and Charlotte.

Watch for those previews ... then watch for game coverage beginning next week.
